Integrate Infobip with AI agentsto sell over WhatsApp and SMS

Sellium and Revio, Vantegrate's AI agents, use Infobip's API as their channel for WhatsApp and SMS: they answer, qualify, quote and send consent-based campaigns with data from your CRM and ERP. Every conversation is logged in Salesforce or your CRM, and the Infobip account stays in your company's name.

The short answer

What does it mean to integrate Infobip with Vantegrate's AI agents?

Integrating Infobip with Vantegrate's AI agents means using Infobip as the messaging channel (WhatsApp, SMS and RCS) and your CRM as the system of record. Sellium and Revio connect to the Infobip REST API with an API key from your account, receive every message through a webhook, answer with your prices and stock, and log the conversation in Salesforce or your CRM.

Infobip is a cloud communications platform founded in Croatia, an official WhatsApp Business Solution Provider, with offices in the United States and across Latin America, from Mexico City to Buenos Aires (Infobip). It fits a company that serves customers in both markets with one provider: WhatsApp where customers use it, and SMS where they don't. Vantegrate is not an Infobip partner: it integrates through Infobip's public API.

Hi, I want to integrate Infobip with AI agents.
What syncs

What moves between Infobip, the agent and your CRM

Infobip carries the message and reports every event; the agent reads your systems to answer and logs the result in your CRM.

Inbound messages by channel

With one subscription per channel, Infobip sends every inbound message from WhatsApp, SMS or RCS to your webhook, and the agent replies in the same thread with live data from your ERP or CRM.

Deliveries, reads and clicks

Delivery, read (on WhatsApp and RCS) and click events reach the same webhook, so the agent knows which message was read and which one failed before it writes again.

Consent, opt-outs and logging

Every consent is stored with its date, channel and wording, every opt-out goes to the suppression list, and the conversation lands on the contact in your CRM with its outcome.

How it connects

How the integration works, step by step

Vantegrate handles the setup and rollout. Your team authorizes access, approves the templates and validates.

1

Connection through the Infobip API

We connect the agent to the Infobip REST API with an API key from your account, limited by API scopes, on the dedicated base URL Infobip assigns to each customer.

2

Webhooks signed with HMAC

We create each channel's subscriptions pointing to the agent's webhook, with an HMAC signature in the X-Hub-Signature header, so it only processes notifications that come from Infobip.

3

Senders, templates and registration

We get your WhatsApp sender and Meta-approved templates ready and, if you text US numbers, the 10DLC registration of your brand and campaigns.

4

Validation with real data

We test with real conversations, validate with your IT and sales teams, and roll out in phases: inbound first, then campaigns.

Channel and agent

Infobip as a channel and AgentOS: what each piece does

Infobip folded its Moments, People, Answers and Conversations platforms into AgentOS, its system for building your own agents and journeys; the earlier product names were retired and live on as AgentOS modules (Infobip). For Salesforce, Infobip publishes its own integrations: messaging inside Marketing Cloud journeys, messaging in Service Cloud, and audience sync from Sales Cloud (Infobip).

A Vantegrate agent doesn't replace any of that. It uses Infobip as its channel and brings something else: a finished agent, operated by Vantegrate, that sells with your price lists, your stock and your customers' credit, and logs every conversation in your CRM. If your team already builds on AgentOS, the two run side by side, with a clear rule on which number and which flow each one handles.

Each piece as described in Infobip's documentation; your project's scope is defined during discovery.

Infobip is a third-party product: it is integrated through its public API and webhooks, under your company's account. Vantegrate is not an Infobip partner and publishes no app on Infobip's Exchange: it configures the connection and the link to your CRM, with the permissions you authorize.

United States

Infobip in the United States: 10DLC registration, TCPA and opt-outs

In the US, WhatsApp is one channel among several: 32% of US adults use it (Pew Research Center, 2025), and Meta does not deliver WhatsApp marketing templates to US phone numbers (Meta). Conversations your customers start are not affected, but a campaign to those numbers goes out over SMS (Infobip also offers RCS on the same API).

Sending SMS from an application over a local 10-digit number (10DLC) requires registering your brand and each campaign with The Campaign Registry (TCR). Infobip is a registered Campaign Service Provider with TCR: you register from its console or through its API, and Infobip reviews the campaign before submitting it (Infobip). For high-volume campaigns it offers short codes, and for customer support, toll-free numbers (Infobip).

The federal law behind marketing texts is the TCPA: it requires prior express written consent when they are sent with automated systems. The FCC rule treats seven keywords as an opt-out, and also a reply in other words if a reasonable person would read it that way; the FCC later adopted a change that would let senders set an exclusive opt-out method (Day Pitney, 2026). Revio's flow treats those replies as opt-outs anyway, because that is what the customer asked for.

On RCS, Juniper Research singles out Infobip as the first provider to launch it across all major US carriers, as Infobip reports. The agents don't run RCS as a live feature: if you want it, we evaluate it during discovery.

Consent (TCPA)Prior express written consent for marketing sent with automated systems47 CFR 64.1200
Opt-outsSTOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL or UNSUBSCRIBE, or any reply that reads as one; honored within 10 business days47 CFR 64.1200

Damages$500 per violating message, up to $1,500 if willful47 U.S.C. 227

A summary for information only, not legal advice: your legal team decides how each rule applies to your program.

What the agent does with each rule: the 10DLC brand and campaigns are registered in your company's name in your Infobip account; Revio stores every consent, sends every opt-out to the suppression list and schedules sends within the allowed hours for each recipient.

Your account, your data

The message goes through Infobip, and the data stays in your CRM

AI comes to your data, not your data to the AI. Infobip carries each message, the agent works with the permissions you authorize, and the account, senders and campaigns belong to your company.

  • Connection through the Infobip REST API with an API key from your account, limited by scopes, and webhooks signed with HMAC or secured with mutual TLS.
  • Infobip reports ISO 27001, ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 certifications and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance (Infobip): they are Infobip's, not your environment's or Vantegrate's.
  • Every conversation, consent and opt-out stays in your CRM, with a record of every send.
  • The agents run on Salesforce or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, whose SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications belong to those platforms, not to Vantegrate or Infobip.
Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about the Infobip integration

What IT, sales and marketing teams usually ask before connecting an AI agent to their Infobip account.

How do I integrate Infobip with an AI agent?

Through the Infobip REST API. The agent authenticates with an API key from your account in the Authorization header, receives every inbound message and delivery status through a webhook subscription signed with HMAC, answers with data from your ERP or CRM, and logs the conversation. Vantegrate configures the connection and the rules; your team authorizes access and validates it. Meet the sales agent at Sellium, and see how it works inside your org in the Salesforce integration.

How is it different from AgentOS, Infobip's agent platform?

AgentOS is Infobip's platform for building your own agents, chatbots and journeys, and it brings together what used to be Moments, People, Answers and Conversations. Sellium and Revio are finished agents that Vantegrate implements and operates, connected to your Salesforce and ERP, using Infobip as their channel. They don't exclude each other: if you already run flows on AgentOS, we agree with your team on what each one handles.

Does Infobip have MCP servers?

Yes. Infobip publishes remote MCP servers, one per API product, so an agent can send messages over SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, Viber and voice, run two-factor authentication flows or query its customer data platform; they authenticate with an API key or OAuth 2.1 (Infobip). The connection this page describes uses the REST API and webhooks.

How much does Infobip cost?

Infobip combines pay-as-you-go pricing per channel with monthly subscriptions for its modules, and offers a free trial and custom plans. WhatsApp is billed per message, with a price per template type and a per-country calculator on its pricing page. Confirm the rate for your case on Infobip's site. Vantegrate charges separately for the implementation and the agents.
