Email is no longer enough. And you know it.

Marketing email averages a 20.73% open rate and a 2.27% click-through rate, according to Brevo (2026). You are crafting campaigns that 8 out of 10 customers never open.

Meanwhile, carts keep getting abandoned and a large share of your customers never comes back. Your database holds thousands of dormant contacts who have not bought in months.

The channel has changed. Your customers live on WhatsApp, where the median open rate of campaigns is 72% per brand, more than triple email, according to Chatarmin (2026). Yet your marketing still lands in the spam folder.

Campaigns that get opened, read and converted. On WhatsApp.

Revio uses AI to connect your e-commerce platform and your CRM with the WhatsApp Business API. It sends automated campaigns that reach your customer where they actually look, personalized with real purchase behavior.

1

Abandoned cart recovery: a personalized WhatsApp message reminding the customer what they left behind, with a direct link to complete the purchase.

2

Dormant customer win-back: personalized offers based on purchase history. Not a generic blast: a relevant proposal.

3

Post-purchase follow-up: requests reviews, suggests complementary products and sets up the repeat purchase.

4

Promotional campaigns: launches, seasonal offers, clearance sales, with advanced segmentation and personalization.

5

WhatsApp payment collection: automatic reminders before and after each invoice's due date, with the amount and date read from the ERP or CRM and the payment link in the same message. If the customer replies with a complaint or a promise to pay, the case goes to someone on the team. There are examples by stage and tone in the payment reminder message generator.

When Revio and Sellium work together, campaigns turn into sales.

Revio sends the campaign. The customer replies. Sellium picks up the conversation, advises, quotes and collects payment. The full flow: Revio sends an abandoned cart message → The customer replies → Sellium takes over the conversation → It confirms the order and processes the payment → The sale closes. No human intervention.

Under the hood

What happens between the abandoned cart and the recovered sale

WhatsApp campaigns are easy to explain and hard to run. Here is the detail that does not fit in a pitch: the exact journey of a message, the Meta rules that shape how every campaign is designed, what the agent connects to and the cases where Revio is not the answer yet.

The journey of a message, step by step

When someone leaves a cart in your store, the platform fires an event and Revio receives it by webhook with the contact, the products and the amount. That kicks off a journey with four pre-send checks: that the contact has valid consent, that they are not on the suppression list, that the product still has valid stock and price, and that they have not received another campaign within the frequency window you defined. Only then is the message chosen. If the customer wrote to you in the last 24 hours, the conversation is still open and the text goes out free-form; if not, it goes out as a marketing template approved by Meta, with the variables filled in with real order data. The first touch usually goes out after 30 minutes, the second after 4 hours and the third the next day, and the sequence cancels itself if the purchase closes in between. When the customer replies, a 24-hour window opens and the conversation passes to Sellium or to your sales rep with the full history. The sale is attributed to the campaign that started it, not to the last click.

Templates, categories and the 24-hour window

All of the channel's mechanics rest on a distinction almost nobody explains before selling: inside the 24-hour window you can write whatever you want; outside it you can only use a template Meta has reviewed in advance. The window opens when the customer writes to you and resets with each of their messages; your replies do not extend it. Conversations that start from a click-to-WhatsApp ad add a free window: if you reply in time, Meta doesn't charge for messages for up to 7 days, according to its pricing documentation. Outside the 24-hour window, the approved template comes in: a text with a fixed structure, variables in curly braces and a declared category. Meta recognizes three categories: marketing, utility and authentication. The category is not an administrative detail: it sets the price and the review criteria. An order reminder is utility; a promotion is marketing, even if you word it like a notice. Every template is submitted for review before it is used and can come back rejected for formatting, for suspicious links or for a wrongly declared category. That is why the campaign calendar is built around templates that are already approved: approval is part of the schedule, not a last-minute formality.

Opt-in, suppression and your number's quality

Your contact base matters more than the message. Revio does not send marketing to a contact who has not given consent, and that consent is stored with date, channel and wording: it is your evidence with Meta and with your country's regulator. The capture points that work are the natural ones: a dedicated WhatsApp checkbox at checkout or at customer sign-up, an inbound conversation from someone who already wrote to you, the QR code in your store or on your packaging, and click-to-WhatsApp ads. A purchased list is not a contact base; it is a burned number with a few extra steps. On the other side is the opt-out: a keyword removes the contact instantly and adds them to the suppression list, which is honored in every following campaign with no manual work. That back-and-forth feeds the metric that matters most in the long run, your number's quality rating: Meta calculates it from the blocks and reports you generate, and your daily sending limits depend on it. Watching frequency and relevance is not a courtesy; it is what keeps the channel open.

What you pay for: the real economics of a campaign

The channel is paid by usage, not by license, and the cost has two separate line items. The first is Meta's fee, charged per message, which varies by country and by template category: in every market on Meta's rate card, marketing costs more than utility or service, and service messages (replies inside the 24-hour window) get 1,000 free per number each month. You pay Meta directly for those messages through your own WhatsApp Business account, and the current rate for your country is in Meta's official rate table. The second is Revio: a one-time implementation, quoted for each company, that leaves the campaigns up and running, and a monthly subscription with AI credits, which you can expand if your sending volume grows, with no minimum term. The useful question is not how much a message costs but how much each dollar you send brings back. The full breakdown of the model is in our WhatsApp Business API cost guide, and the commercial terms are on our pricing page.

What it connects to and what data it needs

Revio does not replace your systems; it reads them. The standard connection is to your store (Shopify, VTEX, Tiendanube, WooCommerce), your CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) and your payment provider (Mercado Pago), so the purchase closes in the same chat. What it needs on the other end is simpler than it looks, and it is also where projects fall behind: phone numbers normalized with the country code, a consent field per contact, an order history with date and amount, and a catalog with queryable price and stock. Without history there is no segmentation by recency; without stock, the message offers what you cannot deliver. If your data lives in an on-premise ERP or in a spreadsheet, it still connects: what changes is the latency, with a scheduled sync instead of a real-time webhook, not the campaign logic. Whatever is missing at kickoff does not block the first campaign: the source that defines the segment comes first and the rest is added later.

What Revio does NOT do, and when it is not a fit

Better to say it before the demo. Revio does not send bulk messages to lists without consent: that is not a product limitation, it is the rule that keeps your number alive. Nor does it guarantee that Meta will approve a template; we write it and manage the review, but the decision is Meta's. It is not a sales agent: Revio opens the conversation, and the one that advises, quotes and collects payment inside the chat is Sellium. And it does not replace your email tool or your social media management; it works alongside them. There are three scenarios where it is not a fit yet. The first is a small contact base or one with no purchase history: without recency or repeat purchases, segmentation has nothing to hold on to and the return does not pay for the implementation. The second is an operation that cannot keep up with the replies: if the message triggers questions nobody answers, the channel degrades fast. The third is a catalog or price list that does not live in any queryable system, because then every campaign goes back to being manual work. In all three cases, the honest move is to get the data in order first and run campaigns afterward.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about Revio

What a buyer wants to know before asking for a demo: what it costs, how long it takes, who owns the data and where the limits are.

How much does Revio cost?

Revio has two parts. A one-time implementation, quoted for each company, which covers connecting your data, building the segments and submitting the templates for approval, until the campaigns are running. And a monthly subscription that includes AI credits to run the agent, with the option to add credits as your sending volume grows. There is no minimum term, and you pay Meta directly for WhatsApp messages, based on your country and each template's category. To see what it would cost in your case, request a quote; Meta's rates are broken down in our WhatsApp Business API cost guide.

How long until it is actually up and running?

The first campaigns go out within 3 to 4 weeks when the data is in order: two weeks of connection (store, CRM, segments and templates) and two of launch and tuning. What stretches that timeline is almost never the technology. It comes down to three things: Meta business verification if your company does not have it yet, a contact base with unnormalized phone numbers or no recorded consent, and template approval when the first version comes back rejected. In discovery we tell you which of the three will apply to you.

What if the campaigns don't sell? What happens then?

We measure and fix it; we don't argue about it. Every campaign reports deliveries, reads, replies and attributed revenue, so within 30 days you know whether the problem is the segment, the message, the offer or the send time. We don't promise a recovery figure: the channel's public benchmarks are good, but your base, your ticket size and your catalog are what decide. If after two tuning cycles the return still isn't there, the honest thing is to say so and check whether the problem came before the channel.

If I leave, who owns the number, the contact base and the templates?

You do. The WhatsApp Business account is opened in your company's name, not Vantegrate's: the number is portable and approved templates travel with the account. Contacts, consents and campaign history are also yours and are exported whenever you ask. It's the question worth asking any vendor before signing: whose name is on the account and what happens the day you want to leave. How we handle and protect that data is covered on our Security page.

Can I send campaigns to my entire contact base?

No, and that's the uncomfortable part: only to people who gave explicit consent to receive messages from your company on WhatsApp. A purchased list, or one imported without opt-in, generates blocks and reports, lowers your number's quality rating and ends up getting your sending restricted. Revio helps capture consent at the natural points of the journey (checkout, customer sign-up, inbound conversations, QR codes and click-to-WhatsApp ads) and honors opt-outs instantly.

Isn't it intrusive? Won't my customers get annoyed?

Volume and irrelevance are what annoy people, not the channel. That's why campaigns go out segmented by real behavior (recency, category purchased, ticket size) with a frequency cap per contact, and every template offers a one-tap opt-out. Meta measures that experience: blocks and reports lower your number's quality rating and cut your daily sending limits. The incentives are aligned, because writing less and better is also what makes commercial sense.

I already use a bulk messaging platform. Why switch?

It depends on two things. The first is whether that platform runs on the official WhatsApp Business API or on an unauthorized shortcut: the second option works until Meta blocks the number, and then you lose the channel along with your whole base. The second is who does the work. Self-service platforms give you the tools and leave it to you to build the segments, write the templates, integrate the store and keep the campaign calendar running. Revio delivers all of that built, connected and maintained, with the agent that picks up the conversation when the customer replies.

Do I need an online store to use Revio?

No. An online store makes things easier because the abandoned cart arrives as an event, but what Revio really needs is a queryable purchase history, and it can come from your CRM, your ERP or your point of sale. That's enough to build win-back campaigns, replenishment campaigns based on the consumption cycle and segmented announcements.

Every day without Revio, your customer base loses value.

Your carts get abandoned. Your customers go dormant. Your email campaigns go unopened. Revio changes that. Book a demo and start recovering what is already yours.
