VantegrateNative API integrationIntegrate Sinch with AI agentsto sell on SMS and WhatsApp through one API
Sellium and Revio, Vantegrate's AI agents, answer and reach out on SMS and WhatsApp through Sinch's Conversation API: they reply with your prices and inventory, qualify, quote and send campaigns only to contacts who gave consent. Every conversation is logged in your CRM, and the Sinch account, numbers and templates stay with your company.
How the data flows
What does it mean to integrate Sinch with Vantegrate's AI agents?
Integrating Sinch with Vantegrate's AI agents means your Sinch account becomes the agent's channel: every SMS or WhatsApp message arrives through a webhook, the agent replies with data from your CRM or ERP, and whatever gets resolved (a lead, a quote, an opt-out) is logged. Sinch carries the message; the agent holds the conversation and keeps the record.
Sinch is a cloud communications platform (CPaaS) with one API for SMS, RCS, MMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and other channels, according to its documentation. It fits a company that texts customers in the United States and serves them on WhatsApp in Latin America: one integration covers both markets, and if a WhatsApp message can't be delivered, Sinch can resend it as SMS (Sinch).

What moves between Sinch, the agent and your CRM
Sinch reports every event through a webhook, and the agent queries your systems only when it needs a data point to answer.
Signed inbound messages
Every SMS or WhatsApp message a customer sends arrives as a Sinch event, signed with HMAC so you can verify it came from Sinch, and the agent replies in the same conversation.
Deliveries and opt-outs
Sinch's delivery receipts and, with consent management turned on, its opt-out notices also arrive through webhooks. The agent adds them to the contact's record, along with the opt-outs customers write in their own words.
Outcome in your CRM
The conversation, the channel it came in on and what was resolved (lead, meeting, quote) land on the customer record in your CRM, not in the messaging console.
How the integration works, step by step
Vantegrate handles setup and rollout. Your team authorizes access, approves the wording and validates.
A Conversation API app in your region
We use an app in your Sinch project in the right region (United States, European Union or Brazil), with an access key that generates short-lived OAuth 2.0 tokens, as Sinch recommends for production.
Signed webhooks
We subscribe a webhook to the events your case needs (inbound messages, deliveries and opt-outs) with a secret to verify each notification's signature. Sinch allows up to five webhooks per app, so it runs alongside the ones you already have.
Consent, opt-outs and 10DLC
We define which messages are service and which are marketing, set up the opt-out keywords for each language and, if you text US numbers, register your brand and 10DLC campaigns with you.
Validation with real conversations
We test with test numbers, validate with your team and roll out in phases: inbound conversations first, then campaigns.
Sinch for SMS in the United States and WhatsApp in Latin America
Sinch's Conversation API uses one format for every channel: the agent writes once and Sinch adapts the message to SMS, WhatsApp or RCS, according to its documentation. The API is hosted in three regions (United States, European Union and Brazil), and each app lives in one of them.
In the United States the channel is SMS. WhatsApp is used by 32% of US adults (Pew Research Center, 2025), and Meta doesn't deliver WhatsApp marketing templates to US numbers (Meta); utility and authentication templates and replies within the 24-hour window still work (Sinch). So with a US customer, the agent texts by SMS and keeps WhatsApp for customers who already message you there.
In Latin America the channel is WhatsApp, and Sinch is a Meta Premier Partner (Sinch). Its presence in the region comes from Wavy, a Brazilian messaging provider that joined Sinch and that offered services in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Paraguay (Sinch, 2020); its platform is listed under Sinch Brasil in Sinch's Trust Center.
| Dimension | Customers in the United States | Customers in Latin America |
|---|---|---|
| Conversation channel | SMS, and WhatsApp for those who already use it | WhatsApp, with SMS as a fallback |
| Campaigns | SMS with consent; WhatsApp doesn't deliver marketing to US numbers | Meta-approved WhatsApp templates |
| Sender registration | Brand and campaign in A2P 10DLC | Set by each country's rules |
Based on Sinch's and Meta's documentation; each country's rules are reviewed during discovery.
Sinch in the United States: 10DLC registration, consent and opt-outs
To send business texts from a local US number, your brand and each campaign are registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR), and Sinch can handle the registration for you (Sinch). The campaign asks for a description, how consent is collected, sample messages with HELP and STOP responses, and links to your terms and privacy policy. Sinch also offers a registration API for brands and campaigns.
Consent follows the TCPA: marketing sent with automated systems requires prior express written consent (47 CFR 64.1200). Opt-outs come with a rule that matters for an agent: if a customer replies in other words that a reasonable person would read as an opt-out, it counts as one, and it must be honored within 10 business days at most. The FCC later voted to let senders designate an exclusive opt-out method (Day Pitney, 2026).
Sinch's consent management matches keywords as an exact match: by default STOP and UNSUBSCRIBE in English and DETENER and SALIR in Spanish, and a phrase like "stop now please" doesn't trigger it (Sinch). It also separates marketing opt-outs from notification opt-outs. The agent reads the whole message, so it treats "stop texting me" as an opt-out even though it isn't a keyword.
| Piece | What Sinch does | What the agent adds |
|---|---|---|
| 10DLC registration | Registers brands and campaigns with TCR, also through an API | Maps each use case to its campaign |
| Keyword opt-outs | Blocks sends in primary mode; the list refreshes every 10 minutes | Logs the opt-out in your CRM |
| Opt-outs in other words | No effect unless it's the exact keyword | Detects them and adds them to the suppression list |
| Opt-out type | Separates marketing, notifications and all messages | Tags each send as service or marketing |
For information only, not legal advice: your legal team decides how each rule applies to your program.
What the agent does with each rule: your brand and 10DLC campaigns are registered in your company's name in your Sinch account; every consent and every opt-out is logged in your CRM, and Revio never sends marketing to anyone who hasn't authorized it. The full channel rules are on the SMS integration page.
How the agent works alongside Sinch's Salesforce apps
Sinch has its own Salesforce apps. Sinch Engage's Salesforce SMS integration, formerly Mercury SMS for Salesforce by MessageMedia, sends and receives SMS, MMS and WhatsApp from the CRM, with bulk sends, messages in Salesforce Flows and the conversation on the contact record (Sinch). The Omnichannel Connector adds Conversation API template sends to Journey Builder in Marketing Cloud, along with an entry point for customer replies (Sinch).
The agent doesn't replace those apps: it handles the sales conversation, the one that takes understanding an open-ended question, checking prices and inventory in your ERP, quoting and handing off to a sales rep with context. During discovery we decide what each piece logs in Salesforce, so no activity is duplicated. Sinch also lets you bring your own AI, as it says on its AI page.
Sinch also publishes an MCP server that runs locally, on a developer workstation or on a company's private infrastructure, and that Sinch positions for regulated industries that need data sovereignty, among others. With it, an agent takes real actions on Sinch's Messaging, Email, Numbers, Verification and Voice APIs. Its Docs MCP, by contrast, is read-only: it helps generate code and doesn't execute anything (Sinch). Vantegrate's agents connect through the Conversation API, with server credentials and least-privilege permissions: that's Vantegrate's design choice, not a limit of Sinch's server.
| Sinch piece | What it does | What the agent adds |
|---|---|---|
| Sinch Engage's Salesforce SMS integration | SMS, MMS and WhatsApp from the CRM, with bulk sends | The sales conversation with prices, inventory and quotes |
| Omnichannel Connector | Conversation API templates in Journey Builder | Answers to what customers ask outside the journey |
| Chatlayer | No-code chatbots and voice bots | An agent set up by Vantegrate on top of your systems |

4 years
In a row as a Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for CPaaS, according to Sinch
Sinch publishes its customer count, carrier connections and years as a Leader on its own site; the quadrant is Gartner's. Pew counts adults who use WhatsApp at all, so read it as reach, not business use.
Which agents work on Sinch
Both use the same Sinch account and the same CRM: Sellium talks with whoever messages you, and Revio reaches out to contacts who gave consent.
Sellium
Sales agent on SMS and WhatsApp: answers the messages that come in through Sinch, qualifies, quotes with your catalog and price lists, books the meeting and hands off to a sales rep with full context. Every conversation is logged in your CRM.
Explore SelliumRevio
Marketing agent: sends campaigns by SMS and by WhatsApp, with Meta-approved templates, only to contacts who gave consent. It logs every opt-out, including one written in plain language, and schedules sends within allowed hours.
Explore RevioThe message goes through Sinch; the data stays in your CRM
AI comes to your data, not your data to the AI. Sinch carries the message, the agent works with the permissions you authorize, and the account, numbers and templates belong to your company. Sinch publishes its own certifications and reports, such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2, in its Trust Center.
- Connection through Sinch's Conversation API, with short-lived OAuth 2.0 tokens generated from your project's access key.
- Webhooks signed with HMAC, with a timestamp and a unique value per notification, to verify the source and reject replays.
- Conversations, consents and opt-outs are logged in your CRM, with a record of every send.
- The agents run on Salesforce or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, whose SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications belong to those platforms, not to Vantegrate.
Frequently asked questions about the Sinch integration
What sales, marketing and IT teams ask before connecting an AI agent to Sinch.
How do I integrate Sinch with an AI agent?
How do I integrate Sinch with an AI agent?
Through a Sinch Conversation API app in your project: the agent authenticates with OAuth 2.0 tokens, receives every SMS or WhatsApp message through a signed webhook and replies with data from your CRM or ERP. If you text US numbers, your brand and campaigns are registered for 10DLC in your company's name. Vantegrate sets up the connection; your team authorizes and validates. Meet the sales agent at Sellium.
Does the agent replace Sinch Engage or Sinch's other apps?
Does the agent replace Sinch Engage or Sinch's other apps?
No. Sinch Engage's Salesforce integration keeps sending SMS and WhatsApp from the CRM, the Omnichannel Connector keeps bringing templates into Journey Builder, and Chatlayer keeps running its bots. The agent handles the sales conversation: it understands the question, checks prices and inventory, quotes and hands off to a sales rep. During discovery we define what each piece writes to Salesforce. If you used MessageMedia, it's the same platform: it was renamed Sinch Engage (Sinch).
How does the agent handle opt-outs that come in through Sinch?
How does the agent handle opt-outs that come in through Sinch?
Sinch's consent management recognizes a message that is exactly a keyword, such as STOP: depending on the mode, it blocks further sends or only notifies you through a webhook. The agent covers what that rule misses: an opt-out written in other words, such as "stop texting me", also goes to the suppression list and is logged in your CRM. The FCC sets a maximum of 10 business days to honor it. Our glossary explains opt-out.
Does Sinch have an MCP server, and does the agent use it?
Does Sinch have an MCP server, and does the agent use it?
Yes. Sinch publishes an MCP server that runs locally, on a developer workstation or on private infrastructure, and lets an agent take real actions on its Messaging, Email, Numbers, Verification and Voice APIs; it also has a read-only Docs MCP that helps generate code and doesn't execute actions (Sinch). According to its AI page, a company can connect its own models through that server. Vantegrate's agents connect through the Conversation API, with server credentials and least-privilege permissions, and log every action they take: that's Vantegrate's design choice.
