Integrate monday.com with AI agentsthat answer customers and keep your boards current
Vantegrate's AI agents connect to your account through the monday.com API: the sales agent logs everyone who writes in on WhatsApp, SMS or web chat in monday CRM, the delivery agent updates each stop on your operations boards, and the data agent answers questions about them. Your data stays in monday.com.
How the data flows
What does it mean to integrate monday.com with Vantegrate's AI agents?
Integrating monday.com with Vantegrate's AI agents means an agent works on the boards in your account through the official GraphQL API: when a customer writes on WhatsApp, SMS or web chat, the sales agent looks up the number in the phone column, creates or updates the lead in monday CRM, qualifies it and leaves a summary on the item. The connection uses a service user or an app with scoped permissions.
The same goes for monday work management, monday.com's product for projects and tasks: to the API, an orders or deliveries board is just another board, with items, groups and columns. What doesn't change is where the data lives: it stays in your account, and the agent reads and updates it with the permissions you grant.

What moves between the agents and your monday.com
The agent reads and writes items on your boards in real time through the API, and each board's webhooks tell it when something changes.
Leads, contacts and deals in monday CRM
The agent creates the lead from what the customer said and, once it qualifies, builds the contact and the deal on your monday CRM boards, linked by their connect boards column, with the rep assigned.
Items on your operations boards
In monday work management, the agent updates the status column of an order or a delivery, uploads the proof of delivery to the files column and posts an update on the item.
Real-time webhooks
A new item or a status change triggers the agent through a board webhook, with monday.com retrying once a minute for 30 minutes.
How the integration works, step by step
Vantegrate handles the setup and rollout. Your team authorizes, validates and starts using it.
Connection through the GraphQL API
We connect with a service user's token, which inherits the permissions that user has in the UI, or with an OAuth app that requests only the scopes it uses, such as reading and writing boards, posting updates or creating webhooks.
Board and column mapping
We define which boards each agent uses, which columns it reads and writes and which group each item lands in. In monday CRM it builds on the core boards, which monday.com doesn't let you delete or duplicate.
Webhooks and channels
We subscribe each board's webhooks, which monday.com verifies with a challenge before turning them on, and connect the WhatsApp numbers, SMS numbers and web chat the agent answers.
Testing with real data
We test with your real boards and conversations, pin the API version on every call, measure usage against your plan's daily limit and turn flows on one at a time.
WhatsApp, SMS and monday CRM: what the agent does with each lead
In monday CRM, the sale runs on boards for leads, contacts, accounts and deals, linked by connect boards columns, with a pipeline view for deals (monday.com). From the Standard plan up, every item also gets the Emails & Activities timeline. The agent works on those same boards, with no parallel database.
When someone writes on WhatsApp, SMS or web chat, the agent looks up their number in the phone column so it doesn't create a duplicate, creates the lead from what they said and asks your team's qualification questions. If the lead qualifies, it creates the contact and the deal, assigns the rep and logs the conversation as a custom activity in Emails & Activities; on the Basic plan, which doesn't include it, the summary goes in as an update on the item.
The rep opens the item and sees what the customer asked for, what the agent answered and where things stand. The sale stays in monday CRM, with the views, automations and boards your team already uses.
| Moment | What the agent does | Where it lands in monday CRM |
|---|---|---|
| A WhatsApp, SMS or chat message arrives | Looks up the number in the phone column | A new lead, or the one that already exists |
| The conversation moves forward | Asks your team's qualification questions | The lead's columns and status |
| The lead qualifies | Creates the contact and the deal, and assigns the rep | Contacts and deals boards, linked |
| The conversation ends | Summarizes what was discussed and what's still open | An Emails & Activities entry or an update on the item |
Reference flow; boards, columns and rules are defined with your team based on your account.
If your team already answers WhatsApp or texts: during discovery we define which number or which conversations the agent handles and which go to your reps, so the customer never gets two replies.
Operations boards the agent keeps current
Many companies run orders, deliveries or installations on monday work management boards. To the API they're items with status, people, date and file columns, and the agent updates them as soon as something happens, not at the end of the day.
Trazzo pulls the day's deliveries from the board, notifies each customer by WhatsApp or SMS and, when the driver confirms, updates the status and uploads the photo and signature from the proof of delivery to the item. Metrix answers plain-English questions about those boards, such as how many deliveries are still pending by zone, with read-only access.
API quota: monday.com counts every call against a daily quota that depends on your plan, so the agent batches the changes to an item into a single call and works off events instead of polling your boards.
Agents and MCP in monday.com: what an agent that answers your customers adds
The platform has its own AI. monday CRM includes agents that source leads, prepare meetings or monitor the pipeline, plus an AI Sales Agent that calls leads and sends them an SMS follow-up, in beta and only in the US, according to its help center. The agents you build on monday.com can be connected to WhatsApp or Telegram so you can message them from your phone (monday.com).
It also has an official MCP server, monday MCP, available on every plan, which connects assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or Cursor to your account through OAuth, with the permissions of the user who connects it (monday.com). Every tool it runs is executed as an API call and counts toward the same daily quota (monday.com).
The AI Sales Agent reaches out to a lead with a call; MCP gives each person on your team an assistant that reads and updates the account. Vantegrate's agent works at the other end: it answers the customer who writes in on WhatsApp, SMS or web chat, at any hour, with your catalog and your rules, qualifies them and leaves the result on your boards through the API.
How they coexist: if you already use monday.com agents, during discovery we define which board and which columns each one touches, so they don't overwrite each other on the same item.
monday.com in US revenue teams: outbound calls, inbound conversations
monday.com says more than 60% of the Fortune 500 trust it (monday.com). In monday CRM, the AI Sales Agent is a US-only beta, and its help center lists its known limitations: outbound calls only, no transfer to a human and a fixed SMS template (monday.com).
Vantegrate's agent covers the conversations your customers start: the buyer who texts back, the website visitor who asks for a quote, the customer who prefers WhatsApp. WhatsApp is used by 32% of US adults (Pew Research Center, 2025), so for a US team it works next to SMS and web chat, not instead of them, and the agent answers on all three. Outbound calls and inbound conversations end up on the same monday CRM item.
Texting US numbers: anyone sending SMS from an application over a local 10DLC number must register for A2P 10DLC (Twilio); the setup is covered in the SMS integration.

AI comes to your data, not your data to the AI: the agent reads and updates your monday.com through the API, with the permissions of the user or app you authorize, and what it records stays on your boards.
- Connection through the official monday.com GraphQL API, with a service user's token or an OAuth app with scoped permissions, no scrapers or exports.
- Least privilege: only the boards and columns each agent needs, and read-only access for data questions.
- monday.com publishes SOC 2 Type II reports and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications for its platform in its Trust Center; they belong to monday.com.
- The agents run on Salesforce or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, whose SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications belong to those platforms, not to Vantegrate or monday.com.
Frequently asked questions about the monday.com integration
What sales, operations and IT teams usually ask before connecting an AI agent to their boards.
How do I integrate monday.com with an AI agent?
How do I integrate monday.com with an AI agent?
Through the monday.com GraphQL API, which the company includes free on every plan. The agent connects with a service user's token, which has the same permissions that user has in the UI, or with an OAuth app that requests only the scopes it uses, and it listens to each board's webhooks to react instantly. Vantegrate handles the setup; your team authorizes, validates and starts using it. The sales agent is Sellium.
Does monday CRM connect to WhatsApp?
Does monday CRM connect to WhatsApp?
According to its help center, monday.com uses WhatsApp in a few ways: the agents you build on the platform and its assistant, monday sidekick, can be reached on WhatsApp, and the workflow builder has a Twilio block that sends a WhatsApp message. Answering the customer who writes in, qualifying them, quoting and handing off to a rep is the job of Sellium, which uses the official WhatsApp Business Platform, also works over SMS and web chat, and logs every step in monday CRM.
Are there limits on the monday.com API?
Are there limits on the monday.com API?
Yes. monday.com sets a daily call quota by plan: 1,000 on Basic and Standard, 10,000 on Pro and 25,000 on Enterprise (called Ultimate in monday CRM), plus per-minute and per-query complexity limits. Personal tokens, private apps and MCP share that quota, and on monday work management you can buy more calls. The integration is built around events and narrow queries to stay within it; we don't promise unlimited calls.
Do I need monday MCP to use the agents?
Do I need monday MCP to use the agents?
No. monday MCP is monday.com's official MCP server so assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT can work in your account with the permissions of the person who connects them, and every action appears under that user's name. Vantegrate's agent works for the company: it uses the API with a service user or its own app, with permissions scoped by board. The two can coexist in the same account.
Does monday CRM's AI Sales Agent replace an inbound agent?
Does monday CRM's AI Sales Agent replace an inbound agent?
They do different jobs. According to monday.com's help center, the AI Sales Agent is a US-only beta that places outbound calls and sends SMS follow-ups from your account; it doesn't take inbound calls or transfer to a human. Vantegrate's AI agent answers the conversations your customers start on WhatsApp, SMS or web chat, qualifies them and hands off to a rep, and both leave their activity on the same monday CRM item.
