Integrate Pardot with AI agentsthat pick up your hot leads on WhatsApp
Vantegrate's AI agents connect to your account through the official Pardot API (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement): they read the score and grade of your prospects, pick up the ones that are already sales-ready and engage them on WhatsApp. Your prospects and campaigns keep living in your Pardot account.
How the data flows
What does it mean to integrate Pardot with Vantegrate's AI agents?
Integrating Pardot with Vantegrate's AI agents means that an agent, such as the sales agent on WhatsApp, connects to your account through the Pardot REST API v5 and works with your real prospects: it reads the score and the grade to spot the hot leads, engages them on WhatsApp and qualifies them. The connection uses OAuth 2.0 with the permissions you authorize.
That's different from waiting for marketing to pass a hot lead along by email while nobody picks it up in time. Here the agent checks the current data in your account and acts as soon as a prospect crosses the score and grade threshold. The data on your prospects and campaigns stays in your Pardot: the agent reads and updates it, it doesn't take it anywhere. Pardot is Salesforce's B2B marketing automation platform.

What data moves between Vantegrate and your Pardot
The agent works on Pardot's objects in real time: it reads the score, the grade and the campaign of your prospects to prioritize them, and logs every conversation where it belongs.
Prospects by score and grade
The agent reads the score (engagement) and grade (fit) of each prospect to spot the ones that are already sales-ready and reach them first, without anyone building a report.
Campaigns and lists
The agent matches each prospect with its campaign and lists to answer with the right context and attribute every conversation to the source that generated it.
Every interaction logged
After the conversation on WhatsApp, the agent updates the prospect in your account and logs the interaction, so nothing gets lost outside your marketing platform.
How the integration works, step by step
Vantegrate handles the setup and rollout. Your team authorizes, validates and starts using it.
Connection through the official API
We connect to the Pardot REST API v5 over OAuth 2.0, with a Salesforce Connected App and the pardot_api scope. No legacy username and password login, which no longer works in v5.
Business unit and permissions
We set up the Pardot-Business-Unit-Id header of your account and the minimum permissions the agent needs to read prospects and log every interaction.
Score and grade threshold
We define the score and grade at which a prospect moves to the agent, so it only picks up leads once they're ready for a sales conversation.
Validation with real data
We test with your real prospects, validate with your marketing and IT teams, and roll out in phases.
Score and grade that start a conversation, not just a report
Pardot combines two signals to prioritize a prospect: the score, a dynamic number that measures engagement (email opens, clicks, form submissions, website visits) and works out of the box, and the grade, which measures fit with your ideal customer (job title, company, industry) and is set up by hand. A prospect with a high score and a high grade is a hot lead ready for sales.
The classic problem is that this hot lead sits waiting for someone to pick it up. Vantegrate's agent reads score and grade through the API and acts as soon as the prospect crosses the threshold: it engages the lead on WhatsApp, asks the questions that are still missing and qualifies it. Pardot's signal stops being a number to look at and starts a real conversation with the customer.
| Dimension | Score and grade without an agent | Score and grade with an AI agent |
|---|---|---|
| What it triggers | An alert or a report | A conversation on WhatsApp |
| Who picks up the lead | A sales rep, when they can | The agent, as soon as the lead crosses the threshold |
| Channel | Email or a delayed call | WhatsApp, where the lead can reply on the spot |
| Qualification | Manual, in another tool | In the conversation, based on score and grade |
| Logging | Up to a person | The agent updates the prospect |
Comparison of patterns; the exact score and grade threshold is defined with your team based on your account and your qualification model.
Score and grade aren't the same thing: the score measures engagement (how active the prospect is) and is dynamic and automatic; the grade measures fit with your ideal customer (job title, company, industry) and you have to set it up. Together they define who is ready for a sales conversation.
How it connects to the Pardot REST API v5
Vantegrate works against the Pardot REST API v5 (pi.pardot.com/api/v5/), the version that opened up access to more objects and fields. Authentication runs on OAuth 2.0 through a Salesforce Connected App with the pardot_api scope: the old username and password login of earlier versions no longer works in v5, so every serious integration goes through OAuth.
One detail breaks a lot of integrations: on top of the token, every request needs the Pardot-Business-Unit-Id header of your account. If it's missing, the API returns a 400 even when the token is valid. Access tokens also expire, so an agent that runs around the clock has to renew them with a refresh token or it fails silently. Vantegrate takes care of all of this during rollout.
Your data stays in your account: the agent reads and updates your Pardot through the official API; it doesn't move your database anywhere else. The connection uses OAuth 2.0 with the permissions you authorize, and every operation is logged and auditable.

An agent connected to your Pardot vs. a standalone tool
| Standalone AI tool | Agent connected to your Pardot | |
|---|---|---|
| Data source | A copy that drifts | Your source of truth, live |
| Where your data lives | In a third-party system | In your environment, encrypted end to end |
| Result of each operation | Stuck in another app | Written back to your Pardot |
| Permissions and audit | Broad and hard to audit | Least-privilege scope and an audit trail |
| Reaching production | Often stalls as a pilot | Validated, phased rollout |

Which agents run on your Pardot
Every product in the suite uses the same integration through the official API: it works with your account's data in real time and logs the result where it belongs.

Marketing and win-back agent: uses the segments and campaigns already in your Pardot to nurture prospects and re-engage them on WhatsApp, a strong fit for contacts in markets where WhatsApp is the default channel.
Explore RevioThe integration doesn't take your data anywhere
The principle is simple: AI comes to your data, not your data to the AI. The agent reads and updates your Pardot through the official API, with OAuth 2.0 and the permissions you authorize, and the agents run on certified cloud infrastructure.
- Connection through the Pardot REST API v5 with OAuth 2.0 (Salesforce Connected App, pardot_api scope), with no scrapers and no fragile bridges.
- The agent reads and updates your prospects, campaigns and lists; your database stays in your Pardot account.
- Access limited by the permissions you authorize and by the business unit of your account, with traceability of every operation.
- The agents run on Salesforce or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, whose SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications belong to those platforms, not to Vantegrate or Pardot.

What's the difference between score and grade in Pardot?
What's the difference between score and grade in Pardot?
The score measures the prospect's engagement or interest (opens, clicks, forms, visits) and is dynamic and automatic; the grade measures fit with your ideal customer (job title, company, industry) and you have to set it up. They're used together to prioritize: a prospect with a high score and grade is a hot lead ready for sales, and that's where the agent steps in.
How does Pardot connect through the API: OAuth or username and password?
How does Pardot connect through the API: OAuth or username and password?
Through OAuth 2.0 with a Salesforce Connected App: the username and password login of earlier versions no longer works in API v5. On top of the token, every request needs the Pardot-Business-Unit-Id header of your account; if it's missing, the API returns an error even when the token is valid. That's why Vantegrate sets up the connection end to end.
Is Pardot the same as Marketing Cloud Account Engagement?
Is Pardot the same as Marketing Cloud Account Engagement?
Yes. Account Engagement (MCAE) is the product's current official name; Pardot is still the brand name most people use. It's Salesforce's B2B marketing automation platform, focused on email and web to nurture leads and align marketing with sales, and it's different from Marketing Cloud, which is built for high-volume B2C.
