Kommo alternatives for mid-sized companies:when to switch CRMs and when to add an agent

If your company grew on Kommo and you are thinking about switching, there are conversational CRMs, omnichannel inboxes and enterprise CRMs that compete with different parts of what it does. And there is another way out that few lists mention: staying on Kommo and adding a sales agent connected to your ERP. This guide describes the options neutrally and helps you choose by use case.

The short answer

What should you look at before leaving Kommo?

Before leaving Kommo, pin down what you have outgrown: the CRM or the way you sell. If the company needs a CRM that marketing, service and management also use, look at a sales or enterprise CRM such as HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM or Salesforce. If you want to keep selling from the chat with a different tool, look at another conversational CRM or an omnichannel inbox. And if what is missing is selling with the data in your ERP (stock, customer-specific price lists, account balances), you may not need to migrate at all.

Kommo, formerly amoCRM, is a CRM for messenger-based sales: it brings WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and other channels into a visual pipeline, with Salesbot to automate flows and its own AI agent that qualifies leads, updates the lead card and creates tasks. The alternatives below compete with it in different parts of that space: some in the conversation, others as the CRM for the whole company.

The option few comparisons mention is not replacing anything. Sellium, Vantegrate's sales agent, connects to Kommo through Kommo's public API: the pipeline and the inbox stay in Kommo, and the agent answers, quotes with the data in your ERP and moves each lead to the right stage.

The options

Seven Kommo alternatives, and one option that adds to it

Each one was built for a different audience. This is a neutral read of what each one is and when it fits, without naming a winner.

Leadsales

Conversational CRM · teams that sell over chat

CRM built for selling over WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook: it centralizes conversations, assigns them to each rep with rules and organizes them in visual funnels by stage. It adds AI to summarize conversations and Lead Agent, an agent that answers using the business's knowledge base.

When it fits: sales teams that sell mostly over chat and want another conversational CRM, with automatic conversation assignment and funnels that are easy to maintain.

Clientify

All-in-one CRM in Spanish · small and mid-sized businesses

Spanish-language CRM that brings sales, campaigns, WhatsApp, automations and analytics into one platform. It has a native Meta integration: WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram messages land in a single inbox, are assigned to an agent and are recorded on the contact's record.

When it fits: Spanish-speaking small and mid-sized businesses that want the WhatsApp CRM, campaigns and automations in a single tool, with support in Spanish.

respond.io

Omnichannel inbox with AI agents · high-volume B2C

Customer conversation management platform that brings WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, email, webchat and calls into one inbox, with AI agents that answer, capture qualification data and route conversations. It positions itself as a conversation layer that works alongside your CRM, with native HubSpot and Salesforce integrations.

When it fits: mid-sized companies that sell to consumers, get a lot of chats across several channels and prefer to keep the conversation inbox separate from the CRM they already use.

HubSpot

Sales CRM with marketing and service · growing companies

Customer platform with a CRM that brings marketing, sales and service together on a single contact database. Its WhatsApp integration brings conversations into HubSpot's shared inbox; according to its documentation, it is available from the Professional tier of Marketing Hub or Service Hub.

When it fits: companies that want one CRM for several teams (marketing, sales and service), with WhatsApp as one of its channels rather than the center of the system.

Pipedrive

Pipeline-centric sales CRM · sales teams

Sales CRM organized around a visual pipeline of deals, with activities, automations and an app marketplace. It offers a WhatsApp Business integration that links chats to deals, contacts and leads, sends templates and triggers messages when a deal changes stage.

When it fits: sales teams that work by opportunity, with several contacts and meetings per deal, and want a sales CRM that is easy to adopt.

Zoho CRM

CRM inside a business suite · one vendor for everything

Zoho's cloud CRM, which can be combined with the rest of its suite (Zoho One is the bundle for running the whole business). It integrates WhatsApp Business to chat from the CRM, use templates and send automated notifications through workflow rules, and adds Zia, its AI assistant.

When it fits: companies that want the CRM and other business apps from the same vendor, with room to customize modules and flows.

Salesforce

Enterprise CRM · mid-sized and large companies

CRM platform for sales (Sales Cloud), service and marketing, with profiles, permissions, reporting and integrations for several teams. WhatsApp is added as a messaging channel in Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud, and Agentforce adds AI agents on top of the CRM data.

When it fits: mid-sized and large companies that need an enterprise CRM for several teams and processes, and have an in-house team or a partner to run it.

Sellium (Vantegrate)

Turnkey AI sales agent · B2B with an ERP

B2B LATAM · ERP with Kommo or Salesforce

Vantegrate's AI agent for WhatsApp sales, running on the official API. It answers in natural language (text and voice notes), recommends from the catalog, quotes with the company's price lists, takes orders and records them in the ERP and in the CRM. It is not a CRM: it is added to Kommo through Kommo's API or runs on Salesforce, so it does not force you to switch systems.

When it fits: mid-sized companies in Latin America that sell with price lists, stock and customer accounts in an ERP and want a sales agent delivered turnkey, on top of Kommo or on Salesforce.

We do not include prices: they depend on the plan and volume, and they change often. Vantegrate develops Sellium, is a Salesforce partner and connects its agents with several of these platforms (Kommo, Leadsales, Clientify, respond.io, HubSpot, Pipedrive and Zoho CRM) through APIs or connectors, depending on each one, with no partnership with them. How to choose

Five criteria for a mid-sized company

There is no best alternative in the abstract. Look at these five areas and bring the AI sales agent checklist to your demos.

1

Whether the CRM belongs to sales or to the whole company

A conversational CRM keeps chat-based selling organized. If marketing, service and management also need to work on the same database, with permissions and reporting by team, look at a sales or enterprise CRM. If the sales team is the only one using it, you may not need to switch.

2

Integration with your ERP

If your answer to the customer depends on stock, customer-specific price lists or account balances, the integration matters more than the inbox. Ask whether the tool reads and writes in your ERP or only exports contacts; the details are in WhatsApp connected to your ERP.

3

Whether you already have Salesforce or another enterprise CRM

Two CRMs side by side mean two sources of truth: reps update one and management looks at the other. If the company already uses Salesforce, you want WhatsApp conversations to live there, not in a second system.

4

Who will run it

Some platforms are built and maintained in-house; others are delivered configured. Be honest about how many internal hours you can give it each month.

5

Cost of migrating

Switching CRMs means moving contacts, pipeline, Salesbot flows, templates and integrations, and retraining the team. The number can be migrated in most cases; the rest has to be rebuilt or exported.

Where Sellium fits: not in every case. If Kommo handles your chat-based selling and its AI agent is enough, you do not need to add anything. If you need a CRM for the whole company, a sales or enterprise CRM will serve you better. Sellium makes sense when the bottleneck is selling with the data in your ERP: quoting with your price lists, taking the order and entering it, with Kommo or Salesforce as the CRM.

Key figures

Figures with a published source on response speed and on how sales reps spend their time. None of them is a result of Sellium or of the platforms on this list.

Caveats: the Harvard Business Review figure measures web leads contacted by phone or email, not on WhatsApp, and is used as a reference for response speed. The Salesforce figure comes from what sales reps report themselves and does not break down by tool.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about Kommo alternatives

What companies that grew on Kommo usually ask when they are deciding whether to switch CRMs or add a sales agent.

What are the alternatives to Kommo?

It depends on which part of Kommo you want to replace. To keep selling from the chat, conversational CRMs such as Leadsales or Clientify; for an omnichannel inbox with AI agents connected to your CRM, respond.io; for a CRM for the whole company, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM or Salesforce. And if what is missing is selling with the data in your ERP, Sellium adds to Kommo without replacing it.

Should you switch CRMs or add an agent to Kommo?

If Kommo works well as your sales team's CRM and the problem is that inquiries do not turn into orders, migrating usually costs more than adding. Kommo has its own AI agent, and if that is enough, you do not need anything else. An agent connected to the ERP adds what depends on other systems: quoting with real stock and prices and entering the order. If what you want to change is the CRM itself (scope, teams or reporting), then it does make sense to evaluate alternatives, with the cost of migrating in view.

Does Sellium integrate with Kommo?

Yes, through Kommo's public API, with OAuth 2.0 and webhooks. The agent answers the WhatsApp chats that already reach your Kommo inbox, qualifies the lead, moves it to the next stage and records the conversation on its card; your data stays in your account. It is not a Kommo-certified connector, and we would rather say so: you authorize the access and can revoke it whenever you want.

Which alternative fits if I already use Salesforce and an ERP?

If the company already has Salesforce, adding another CRM for WhatsApp usually doubles the data entry, so you want conversations to stay in Salesforce. There are two ways to do it: Salesforce's own messaging channels, or an agent that runs inside Salesforce and connects to the ERP. Sellium does the latter: it respects profiles and permissions, and works with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, Tango, Odoo or NetSuite. More detail on Sellium.

Can I leave Kommo without losing my WhatsApp number?

In most cases, yes. If the number is connected to Kommo through the WhatsApp Business API and the account is in your company's name, the number is yours, and Meta lets you migrate it to another provider while keeping the display name, quality rating and messaging limit (Meta documentation). Two-step verification has to be turned off first, and what lives in Kommo (chat history, Salesbot flows and templates) does not carry over: export what you need. If you connected it through the WhatsApp Business app, the path is different: moving from the app to the API.

How much does adding Sellium to Kommo cost?

Sellium is priced with an initial implementation quoted per company and a monthly subscription with expandable AI credits, with no lock-in. WhatsApp messages are charged by Meta, and Vantegrate adds no margin to them. The number depends on what the agent has to do and which systems it connects to: request a quote with your volume and your systems.
