Integrate your WooCommerce store with AI agentsthat serve customers on WhatsApp

Vantegrate's AI agents connect to your WooCommerce store through its official REST API: they check real orders, stock and statuses to answer product questions, recover carts and coordinate deliveries from WhatsApp, with no operator copying data by hand and no fixed decision-tree bot repeating generic answers. Your orders and customers stay in your WordPress installation.

The short answer

What does it mean to integrate WooCommerce with Vantegrate's AI agents?

Integrating WooCommerce with Vantegrate's AI agents means that the agent checks orders, stock and statuses directly against the store, instead of an operator copying data by hand or a fixed decision-tree bot repeating generic answers. The agent knows what each customer bought and where their order stands, and it acts on that information on WhatsApp.

The connection uses the WooCommerce REST API, authenticated with the credentials you define. The principle is the same as always: AI comes to your data, not your data to the AI. Orders and customers stay in your WordPress installation; the agent queries and updates them with the permissions you grant, and it doesn't take the database with it.

Hi, I want to integrate WooCommerce with AI agents.
What syncs

What data moves between Vantegrate and WooCommerce

The agent works on the WooCommerce REST API in real time: it checks orders, catalog and customers, and updates statuses where you allow it, without exporting the database anywhere else.

Orders and their status

The agent checks each order and its status directly against the store, so it can say where a purchase stands with no one going through the WordPress admin by hand.

Catalog, price and stock

When the customer asks about a product, the agent answers with the real catalog data: the store's current price and availability, not a canned answer that went stale.

Customers and their history

The agent recognizes the customer and what they already bought, so the conversation starts with context and can pick up an order or a cart without asking them to repeat everything.

How it connects

How the integration works, step by step

Vantegrate handles the setup and rollout. Your team authorizes, validates and starts using it.

1

Connection through the official REST API

We connect to the WooCommerce REST API (wc/v3), authenticating with the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret over HTTP Basic Auth on HTTPS. The API is built into WooCommerce, so no extra plugin is needed: the keys are generated and the permalinks are checked.

2

Permissions scoped by key

You generate the credentials with the access level you want: read, write or read/write. The Consumer Secret is shown only once when it's created, and the agent only gets what you authorize.

3

Business context and rules

We load your store's context and service rules: how to answer product questions, when to recover a cart and how to handle each order status.

4

Validation with real data

We test with the store's real data, validate the answers with your team and roll out to production in phases.

Through the API, not by hand

Official REST API integration vs. checking the admin by hand

Not every way of connecting a store works the same. Copying data from the WordPress admin by hand, or letting a fixed decision-tree bot answer without looking at the store, leaves gaps: the customer asks about their order and no one knows its status, an abandoned cart goes cold and a stock question gets answered with old data. An integration through the official REST API checks the store's real data at that moment, without that delay.

The difference shows up in every conversation: when the customer asks about their order, the agent looks it up directly against the store and answers with the real status, not a generic line. That immediacy avoids wrong answers about stock, price or delivery, and takes the repetitive work off your team.

Comparison of integration patterns; the exact scope is defined with your team based on your store and the permissions of the REST keys.

Your data stays in your WordPress installation: the agent works against your store through the REST API with the credentials you define and only updates what you authorize; it doesn't take your database anywhere else. Orders and customers stay in your WordPress, and you can limit access to read only if you'd rather it query without changing anything.

Your data, your store

The integration doesn't take your data anywhere

The principle is simple: AI comes to your data, not your data to the AI. The agent works against your WooCommerce store through the official REST API, with the permissions you authorize, and the agents run on certified cloud infrastructure.

  • Connection through the official WooCommerce REST API (wc/v3), authenticated with Consumer Key and Consumer Secret over HTTP Basic Auth on HTTPS, with no scrapers and no manual uploads.
  • Permissions by key: you can generate read, write or read/write credentials, so the agent only accesses what it needs.
  • Your orders and customers stay in your WordPress installation; the agent queries and updates, and it doesn't copy the database anywhere else.
  • The agents run on Salesforce or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, whose SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications belong to those platforms, not to Vantegrate or your WordPress store, with traceability of every operation.
Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about the WooCommerce integration

What sales and e-commerce teams usually ask before connecting an AI agent to their WooCommerce store.

Do I need to install an extra plugin to connect WooCommerce?

Not necessarily. The REST API is built into WooCommerce: the keys (Consumer Key and Consumer Secret) are generated from Settings, and the permalink configuration is checked during discovery. Vantegrate handles the setup and rollout; your team authorizes the permissions, validates and starts using it. Learn about the sales agent in Sellium.

Can the agent change orders in my store?

Only if you give it a key with write permission. The WooCommerce REST API lets you generate read, write or read/write credentials, so you can limit the agent to querying without changing anything, or enable it to update order statuses. You define the scope, and every operation is logged.

Does it work with my current theme and plugins?

Yes. The REST API works on the store's data regardless of the theme: it queries orders, products and customers without depending on the site's design. During discovery we check the server configuration and the permalinks to avoid conflicts with plugins or custom settings in your installation.

Where does my customer data stay?

In your WordPress installation. The agent queries and updates with scoped permissions; it doesn't copy the database anywhere else. Your order and customer information stays in your store, and access uses the credentials you define and is logged. The principle is that AI goes to your data, not your data to the AI.
