Software for lenders and credit unions:what your loan core handles and what an AI agent on WhatsApp adds

The loan core manages each loan, the scoring engine says who qualifies and the payment gateway collects the installment. What slips through the cracks between them is the application nobody finishes. We do not sell a loan core or a CRM: Sellium, Arconte and Revio work on top of the systems you already use.

The short answer

What software does a lender or a credit union need?

A lender or a credit union runs on a loan core that manages each loan, a CRM for the relationship with members or customers, a credit scoring engine to decide who qualifies, and one or more payment methods. An AI agent does not replace any of them: it answers WhatsApp, builds the application and sends due-date reminders, following the rules you already have.

End-to-end loan origination on WhatsApp, with the installment simulation and prequalification, is covered in Sellium for Financial Services. This page lays out a lender's systems and the stage of the cycle each agent handles.

The systems map

What each system handles and where the agent fits in

The life cycle of a loan runs through five systems, and each agent handles a different stage: the application, the documents and the reminder before the due date.

SystemWhat it handlesExamplesWhat the agent does
Loan coreBooking, installments, balances and delinquency of each loanMambu, Temenos, Finastra and the local cores used by Mexican SOFOMs and by credit unionsReads the terms of each loan product to simulate the installment and leaves the application ready to book
CRMMembers, customers, applications and follow-upSalesforce, Microsoft DynamicsLogs the conversation and routes the application to the loan officer with the case already built
ScoringWho qualifies and up to what amountYour scoring engine and the credit bureaus you useQueries it with the applicant's consent and applies your underwriting policies

Examples taken from each provider's official website and from Vantegrate's integration pages. Vantegrate does not sell any of these systems: the agent works on top of the ones you already have.

One agent at each stage

What each agent handles, and with which system

None of them makes the credit decision: they apply your rules and your team decides.

1

Simulates the installment

Sellium calculates the installment with your interest rate and the total cost of credit, across several terms.

Reads from the core

2

Prequalifies the application

With the applicant's consent, it queries your scoring engine and tells them whether they are prequalified.

Scoring and CRM

3

Reads identity and income

Arconte extracts and validates the data on the ID document and the proof of income, including the CFDI e-invoice and the RFC tax ID in Mexico and the NIT tax ID in Colombia.

Writes to the CRM

4

Sends the due-date reminder

Revio sends the reminder before the installment is due, with opt-in and templates approved by Meta.

5

Collects with a payment link

Sellium creates the payment request with your gateway right in the chat and confirms when it clears, as in taking payments on WhatsApp.

What Vantegrate does and does not do

What it does

  • Answers inquiries around the clock and builds the complete application
  • Applies your scoring and your underwriting policies, with consent
  • Reads and validates identity and income documents
  • Sends due-date reminders and collects with a payment link, with opt-in
  • Works within your regulator's rules and data protection requirements, with a record of every interaction

What it does not do

  • It does not sell a loan core or a CRM: it works on top of the ones you already use
  • It does not grant or decide the loan: your team decides, with your rules
  • It does not handle legal collections or make phone calls
  • It does not send messages without the person's opt-in

When it is not a fit: if you are looking for a core to start lending, that is the first step. The agent comes in once you already have a system to read each loan from and a place to leave each application.

Published integrations

What it connects to, page by page

Chips with a link lead to their integration page; the pages for the Latin American payment methods are in Spanish only. Loan cores (Mambu, Temenos, Finastra and the local ones) do not have their own page: the connection is defined in the discovery phase, before the quote.

Public benchmarks, not Vantegrate results. The Signicat survey covered 7,600 consumers in 14 European countries, not in the U.S. or Latin America, and it is used as a reference for drop-off in digital onboarding. The Harvard Business Review figure measures web leads at 42 U.S. companies.

Frequently asked questions

What lenders and credit unions ask

Does Vantegrate sell loan software?

No. Vantegrate sells AI agents that work on top of your loan core, your CRM and your payment methods. If you are looking for a core to start operating, that is the first step; the agent comes in once you already have a system to read each loan from.

Does the agent approve loans?

No: it prequalifies. It applies your scoring and your underwriting policies to say whether the person is prequalified, pending review or outside policy, and the decision stays with your team.

Does it work for a credit union or a SOFOM?

Yes, with the same systems: core, CRM, scoring and payments. The agent serves members or customers on WhatsApp, builds the application and sends due-date reminders with opt-in, within the rules your institution sets. In Mexico, where a SOFOM is a non-bank lender, Arconte also validates the CFDI e-invoice and the RFC tax ID on proof-of-income documents.

Which payment methods does it work with?

With the payment methods that have a published integration page, such as Mercado Pago and MODO in Argentina, Openpay and Conekta in Mexico, and PSE, Wompi and Nequi in Colombia. The agent creates the payment request in the chat and confirms when the funds clear.

How much does it cost?

Sellium is priced in two parts: an initial implementation quoted for each institution and a monthly subscription with expandable AI credits, with no lock-in. You pay Meta directly for WhatsApp messages, through your own account. To get a price for your case, request a quote.
